My name is Shanda Lee, body piercing and adornment has been a passion of mine since 1998. I've been piercing and pursuing body art and modification in sunny San Diego for over 20 years. I've had the pleasure of studying under some of the most talented artists and body modifications specialists in the industry

I have been extremely blessed and fortunate to work with some of the most unique and adventurous clients.  Body art, adornments and modifications have always been a passion of mine. As a kid I was constantly drawing on myself and my friends. As I got older piercing and tattoos became my focus. I love decorating the body in art and adornments.

I take connecting with my clients seriously,  I want them to have a great experience,  to feel comfortable,  clam before we begin a piercing or other type of modification.  The look on a client's face once the procedure is complete, is priceless.

My goal is for every client to be comfortable,  satisfied, and happy with my work. I look forward to coming to work. I like collaborating with my clients. I'm good at what I do and I love it.

I have been piercing intermittently for 5 years while working in my other careers in Vet Med and Bus Admin. This April (2025) I accepted an offer given to me to be a full-time piercer for Tattoo Ink Spot.

My experience with basic piercings such as ear lobes, navels, nipples and and nose is solid but am still considered an apprentice due to my lack of experience with less common, more complex piercings such as various cartilage and facial piercings.

I am always looking for willing participants to practice these more challenging piercings in exchange for the price of the piercing. If interested call the office at 858-483-0028.

Piercing Aftercare Instructions

Taking care of your new piercing is essential to prevent infections and promote healing. Here are some ear piercing aftercare tips:

  • Clean Your Piercing Twice a Day: Use a saline solution or a piercing-specific antiseptic. Avoid alcohol-based products as they can dry out the skin.

  • Do Not Touch or Twist the Jewelry: Twisting the jewelry can irritate the piercing and introduce bacteria, leading to infections.

  • Avoid Swimming: Chlorinated water and bacteria in pools or natural bodies of water can irritate your piercing. Wait until it's fully healed before swimming.

  • Sleep on Your Back: If you have a new cartilage piercing, avoid sleeping on the pierced side to reduce pressure and discomfort.

  • Check the Tightness: Occasionally check that the jewelry isn't too loose or too tight, especially if it's a screw-on type.

Common Aftercare Mistakes To Avoid:

  • Using alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on the piercing

  • Over-cleaning, which can dry out the skin

  • Removing jewelry too early

  • Ignoring signs of infection
